I was browsing through Jeremy's multiply site and found a really funny photo of me.. We were in Sheila Majid's studio practicing last summer prior to recording.. And we had all his camera shots taken by our photographer [kudos to Matt]. I showed this particular photo to a few of my friends and they all burst out laughing.. So I guess it's funny.. Take a look at it, and read the tagline below the pic..

Jan 24...
Hello 21! Sweeeeeeeeeet....
I finally turned 21, got my freedom key, and the comfort [or not], of knowing that i'm emancipated [legally].
Previously, I thought turning 21 was all so cool and bla bla bla... but now that I've turned 21, being legally free & emancipated, I suddenly feel that sense of responsibility I have in everything I do, every action I make from now on. This sucks, but in a way I guess it'll mold me through time as I continue making mistakes and constantly learning from them and trying not to repeat them.
Ok, enough with the sentimental talk...
I have a bad feeling my 21st Bday party will be rowdy and boisterous... wait, did anyone say PARTY?
What party? When? What party?? *grins*

Trust is a LIE, and it is way overrated. Life experiences will give you that honest answer. Once again, trust is a lie. People whom you think cares and treasure yr 'friendship', wouldn't even give a shit about you after sometime. And time will tell, just keep out of contact and go missing for a few months, and if not even a simple text message reaches you, TOO bad. It's not worth it. Cultivating friendships are a waste of time.

"Life is a balance of holding on and letting go," Keith Urban
I have always enjoyed Keith's music, though he has not produced many albums. Just a few to name. I was glad when he decided to go for treatment to curb his drug & alcohol problem a number of years ago. But since he married Nicole Kidman, he went back to his old habits. I am bemused at the moment to why this has happened. Could it Nicole? Could it be pressure? I doubt it. But once again, my personal belief, women are the root of all evil. I do not intend to sound censorious toward women, but they are the sole cause of the fall of men, in almost every aspect.. But for now, I am just glad he checked himself into a treatment centre now that he realised it. And his new album is launching in 4 days, can't wait to get my hands on it.. tee hee hee

November 1.....
I thought I'd just post photos of my new guitar. I got it almsot 2 months ago and i bought it in the USA, not here. American companies love sending junk and products that barely passed 'QC' to asian countries and keep the best stock for their own country and people. Idiots. So i had to get it there instead eventhough it costs more. As for guitars, an experienced musician will know whether the guitar is a 'junk'/defective/barely passed QC product, just by playing it, for an amateur, they won't know or notice at all, its quite hard. It's the feel and tone of the guitar that matters most.
Anyway, this is another limited edition i got, it's 50th anniversary. I got this on back order, brand new, because this guitar was only sold in 2004 in conjuction with it's 50th anniversary celebration of this guitar. The grain of the wood is AWESOME. You can barely find another guitar with such a beautiful grain in Malaysia. Once again as I mentioned earlier, Americans keep the best products for their own country. The pickups are one of a kind Custom Shop 1954 exclusive. The guitar's design is even older than most of your parents! The design has been unchanged since 1954, and this guitar has stood the test of time. Artists like Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer, and all yr idiotic corporate sell-out punk bands use it. Legendary

Instead I have a pile of assignments that are due, plus, it's really quiet around here in the house and it's starting to get freaky.. grrr.... boooreeeed and stressed out... things just can't get any bland and boring as this..

May 17....
I'm so upset with FedEx! (i call them FedUp). When i called the FedEx call centre last week to schedule a pickup for my PRS to be sent to Singapore (it has to go through my dealer there, then it'll be shipped back to the USA, it's standard protocol), the cust service relations fella (or whatever u call them) said that my guitar will go down to Singapore via a FedEx truck. I was relieved, because the last thing i would like my guitar to get on is a PLANE, unless necessary!
When the FedEx pickup guy came to pickup my package, it was just a sad moment to see my guitar go away. And you know what?????? My PRS went on a FLIGHT, as i said the last thing i would like my guitar to travel on is a FLIGHT unless it's on a long haul journey. Urgh! I used the tracking number that was given to me and guess what? That same night it was flown to the Philippines and then back to Singapore! im FedUp with FedEx. If i was shipping something non-fragile i wouldn't even care. I've heard enough complaints about FedEx from my other friends when they ship their fragile items over, and it reaches to the destination in pieces. They recommended me to use UPS or DHL, but how? No choice, my dealer paid for shipping and they use FedUp, i hope that when my guitar comes back from the states it's flown back using UPS or DHL, I hope PRS uses them. Enough ranting for a day, I'm missing it heaps. It's there on evaluation and warranty. I'm the unlucky one in a million.
My parents were away for a night and then so happen my sister (amelia) wanted to watch MI:3, but I've already watched it so what the heck. Last minute someone wanted to have lunch with me, so we went to 1utama, my sister went for the movie, and i bought tickets, TICKETS! I got 2 tickets for the premiere of The DaVinci Code movie, on thursday. The best seats in the house. Yay! I'm so excited i can't wait for it. I do hope that it meets up to the standards of the book..
I've gotta go sleep now, long day ahead tomorrow...

May 9..
I got my PRS (Paul Reed Smith) Custom 24, 20th Anniversary, 10 Top guitar on the 11th of April.. Erin called me a braggart. People who own this guitar don't even need to open their mouth to brag, the guitar itself will do it for you. Well you know what's happening??? It's going to be shipped back to the PRS factory in Stevensville, MD, USA tomorrow for warranty related issues. I'm so upset.. all in less than a month! Happy now? I don't want to talk about it! I'm too upset!
Anyway for those of you who are interested, we're going to play badminton (& probably swim)again at Adrian Lee's Crib at 5pm today.. anyone interested just give him a call at 017-8898411 for directions..
Anyway, i gtg now, i really upset and getting depressed.. for the past week i've been arranging the shipping details (and etc) with my PRS dealer and PRS themselves on the warranty issue. The good news is that PRS is going to pay for my shippping both ways! (they better be for the price i paid for the guitar, i expect excellent cust serv) But the bad news is that I'll miss the guitar like hell. FedEx is coming over to pick my guitar up in the afternoon later... :( I feel like crying.. really :( *sob*sob*

April 18...
Sometimes do you wonder whether the people that say they are close to you actually really care about you? i don't know.. really..
Barry and I were having this chat about 2 weeks ago about that, and we were talking particularly about someone that is close to me.. andhe asked this question, "You obviousy care for her really well, taking her our for dinner's, driving her here and there.. but do you think she actually cares for you and spends time or at least take a lil' effort to send u a text message to brighten up ur day.. just the simplest of things, think about it, chew..". Then it strucked me. I'm still puzzled and have not answered that question yet.. I'm thinking about it... still trying to notice the slightest of cre shown to me .. anyway.. scrap it.. i don't intend to get depressed anytime sooner..
It's been a tiring weekend.. really.. so yups.. back to my books.. see ya!

April 3.....

Wow.. it's been sometime since i last blogged.. wait.. let me rephrase that ... A LONG LOoooOOoong Time! :)
I'm sooo happy! I just got a new guitar.. and you know what?? And you know what's pathetic? It's not an electric guitar, it's an Acoustic? I mean.. adrian chew.. playing acoustic guitar? you gotta be kidding me. Well u have to blame my darn fingers for touching that guitar in the first place. The sound, the finish, the beauty of 5 different exotic wood used on this guitar, totally seduced me.. and of course.. the brand larh! Taylor.. I mean this is not one of those cheap or should i say, the regular shelf guitars.. If you don't have at least 5k you can't get the cheapest one. Don't ask how much i paid for mine.. you will be thankful u didn't ask.. really.. :) but the good news is that i got it for a bargain.. =)
Chris ling lent me a cd.. the latest Jeremy Camp unplugged album.. guess what.. exactly the same brand, the same model.. a dreadnought shape with no cutaway... Nice... =)
Well for now, i play with my acoustic guitar more than my white baby. Sad huh..
I just realised that i have 4 nice guitars that i love so much.. all with a hefty price tag hence my taste for the best..well i talked to dad about getting my last electric.. actually the one that i always dreamt of.. it's about 12k.. hoping for it to come by the end of this year or mebe next year.. no idea.. might not even buy it.. but if i do get it.. it will be my LAST! I promise!
I have posted a few photos... have a look at it.. i got the bridge pins changed to nice gold bridge pins. U can see the wood 'figures' ... found on only high end guitars like this.. The 5 different kinds of exotic wood on my guitar is the Sitka Spruce, for the top of my guitar (as seen in the 2nd and 3rd photo) imported from the western regions of North America, then for the sides and back of my guitar is the African Mahogany from Africa, and for the neck of the guitar, American Mahogany.., then for the saddle and headstock, Indian Rosewood is used..and lastly the fretboard, which uses Ebony from east india... =) All exotic woods..
Haaah...Forgive me for my ego trip today... a man like me just loves his toys.. :)
Anyway..I'm tired from badminton with ken, serene and etc... gtg now... need sleep.. long day ahead tomorrow..

November 29...

OMGoodness i didn't realise it has been sometime since i last blogged. Lauranne MADE me do this.
I went for a camp! CAMP! FINALLY!... 2 Friday's ago. Gawd i had fun but the work load was insane... Being a RR cmdr ain't that easy. Not going to talk much about camp but i'll just explain in brief. I was in-charge of building the traditional Council Fire for the night of them camp and it's quite a huge task. Took 3 hours to chop up the wood needed, together with uncle Micheal Chang giving me a hand. Some of the wood logs were as big as Mabel Wong i dare say.. my hands hurt so badly after that. The fire for that night was great, the fire lasted from 8pm all the way to 7am in the morning.. we used it to reheat some BBQ left over from the previous night, for breakfast. We went River Trotting for about an hour.. well, going with little kids isn't that fun you know, but heck, we're there to take care of them. I have to admit, we had heaps of fun. During the river trotting activity, i got to test my pair of Teva's that i got 2 months back. I was really impressed by the grip it had on the wet rocks are river bed. I'm going to get a new pair for normal use and use my current one as a dedicated one for camping.. there goes another 240 bucks.. :( I got back from camp with 18 mosquito bites, including the 3 on my butt. Ouch. And also a sunburn.. bad bad one.. i think i got it when i was chopping the wood under the hot sun. :( I think i really overworked myself at camp. On monday, miaowkat and i couldn't help but to get our bodies 'tuned' in the massage parlour, by our regular masseurs. What a relieve.. =)
The last 2 weeks have been bad. Last saturday i found out my grandpa's kidney totally 100% faied and have to go for permanent dialysis ='( I miss all the good memories i used to have with my grandpa =( I can't get it anymore because of his condition .. we all know his time is coming up because of his heart, kidney, and stomach issues :(
And then there are issues with people and matters of the heart that are unsettled. Hurts, and a tinge of anger still lies deep down in my heart... Well .. Life is life... you have to live with all this kinds of things.
Anyway, here are some photos from camp.. a few photos of my sooooo cute baby niece and my nephews too... taken a few weeks ago during grandpa's 80th bday lunch..

November 11...
Yay! I finally got my request! I'm NOT playing for Christmas..!! WooHoo!! Reason 1.) Im NOT interested to play (u all know why.. don't ask). 2) Youth camp is right after Christmas and i have alot to do.. 3) I prefer Easter songs.. more rock-ish and more to my style.. for christmas it's better to give Thom a shot.. more to his jazz style.. =)
But u guys know the main reason why i don't want to play la.. that thing that happen with Ps Chris has turned my head around and pissed me off..
This last few days has been hard for me.. hurting and etc.. Don't know how to handle it... only God can help.... haih... only way to describe my self.. A Flower quickly fading, or just a wave tossed in the huge ocean... =(
Going out with bear soon.. have to get ready... =)

November 7...

Wow.. Last week was jsut.. WOW. Busy Busy and BUSY. Wedding preparations, Hair Cut, etc..
Got me hair cut from Nick at Sense Studio with Leen Leen.. I like.. Was shopping the whole week.. bought quite an amount of shirts from G2000, The Executive and etc.. For those of you who know me well, I HATE SHOPPING, so yea, it was pure torture. Got meself a new pair of shoes and etc. Last month and this month i have a spending record of over Rm2k.. am i crazy or what? I think i am, i was spending so much and i didn't realise it would be this much, but heck...
Adrian and Jen's wedding was good. Actually it was one of the most relaxed wedding ceremonies i've ever been to. The day started on Saturday morning at 7.15am with us groomsman at his house in DP before leaving to 'get' the bride at her house in Cheras. Reached Jen's house at 8am. Gawd, getting in was HARD.. all thanks to the bridesmaids. We had all sorts of stuff like eating chili padi, waxing leg (and YES, I was the only ONE who got it.. idiot), was conned into giving so many red packets and we were so stupid to give a big one for the first one. Crap. There's more stuff that happened bu all in all we got the bride and left for the ceremony. Ceremony was good .... Mr and Mrs Adrian Lee..
Hehe, i checked into my room at JW Marriott at about 4.15pm and right after that i proceeded for my sound check at the dinner hall for me special number. Dinner was good.. and you know WHAT???!! During the photo slideshow, they showed a photo of me and my leg getting WAXED! All Chooi Mun's Fault, and plus she's the bridesmaid that walked down the aisle with me. urgh. URGH! The dinner guests was just laughing.. expected.. hehe. Was pretty embarassing! All in all the dinner ended well... Ps Kenneth and Sandra Chin was sitting at me table, it was fun... at least now they know how lame we guys are.. lol
Next morning... oh gawd.. in the last 48 hours i only had 4 hours of sleep and pure WORK. so i was dead exhausted. And the stupid thing was that i had to wake up early to play in Cheras.. Dang.. wasted my sleep in Marriott.. and you know what's worse?? I found out that i had 2 nights stay instead of 1 night in marriot, when i checked outt.. Idiot. I checked out very early in the morning.. Missed practice in cheras (who needs practice anyway??) lol. After cheras i went for Grandpa's 80th Bday celebration and later rushed to 1 Utama to find a gift for someone i love so dearly.. was hard to find the right one but yea.. took time.. and i was quite broke.. only had like 100 bucks left in my wallet.. so yea.. I was running out of time and i left 1 utama after getting the gift (btw, who wants to go to 1 utama on weekends??? It's Packed!) and went to pick Mr and Mrs Adrian Lee from the hotel, for evening service. I was exhausted. We had dinner later and went back to their suite in the hotel and later went to the VIP lounge to chill there. I think i was chilling a lil' too much when i realised i just downed 6 glasses of Bollingers. Idiot. My head was dizzy, i was dead sleepy and i had to deliver the gift and the person lives so far away (and it was late already).. It was very VERY tiring that i had to stop the car 3-4 times during the journey to rest. It's THAT bad. It's not a matter of keeping my eyes open. It WOULDN'T stay open eventhough i forced it.. It was hard, but i hope the sacrifice was worth it. Love knows no boundaries. I'm quite hurt and upset with the person for something that was said, but yea, when it's someone's bday and you love them so so dearly, you just can't help it but to do something really sweet, no matter what it costs... I dropped it at her doorstep and yea..I got home at about 2am i think.. I dropped and knocked off immediately... So yea, could you now feel how it was like to live my day, bearing in mind i had 4 hours of sleep in the last 2 days. This is quite a long post, also to make up for me not blogging for sometime..

October 24....
How do you tell someone you're really upset because of something that was said to you that offended you or hurt your feelings quite severely, without the person even knowing that it affected you? I guess sometimes i just get too depressed thinking and crying over it when it hurts so badly, until i reach the point that i do not dare to face the problem and settle it because im badly hurt or damaged emotionally, to do it.., it even adds the pressure because i care and love the person more than anyone else.. :( You know what? I suck and i'm a fool.. i hate myself!
My week/weekend was quite ok.. the only thing that helped took off all my hurtful thoughts and feelings temporarily was when i went to Sheila Majid's Studio on Sunday afternoon for Adrian and Jen's Wedding Dinner Special Number rehearsal.. It was a blast.. Because in church you just don't see people like Joel Wong and Ken abuse the instruments like that, .. ONLY in a studio.. And well, ask them, we had a blast.. i've NEVER seen this musical side of the 3 (boss went home after we finished rehearsing his wedding special numbers) of us playing this kind of wild music and really REALLY having a good jam. Well playing in church has it's limitations.. NO circular music =) Yup, if we enforce the rules in church, we have to be a good example and not do it too. Was definitely one of THE BEST studios i've ever been to (Cmon gimme a break, it's Sheila Majid's Personal Studio) :P .. i've been to so many but all of them just suck... badly maintained, smells of smoke, sucky lighting (Yes we had Awesome lightings!) , Nice floor, and last but not least, High End Equipments.. stuff that i love playing on!...
Ok gtg now, need to go to G2k and KLCC for shopping... =)
