48th year of Independence?

In all my years, i guess that this years' independence day was the best i could ever wish for.. Yesterday, Ai Leen dragged me to go get a hair cut with her at Sense Studio, DU at bout 7pm.. i think, am i right, leen? hehe ... i went willingly lar... not being forced.. Well, i got a brand new hair cut (not much diff anyway) and leen leen got hers too... =) She looks great btw! .. but i look err... almost the same .. lol.. Right leen? Later we went to 1U to kai kai.. and later we decided to go to dataran merdeka for the ermm.. FIREWORKS!!.. hehe *grins*.. i don't know how this happened, but it was surreal, being stuck in the traffic jam right in front on dataran merdeka at 12 midnight n 31st August & munching on some twiggies whilst enjoying the fireworks? Coincidence? I don't think so.. =) Those were front row seats for the both of us to watch the fireworks display in my car.. hehe and in leen leen's words.."Kerja Bunga la!!, not Bunga Api!" Funny la you.. =) so cute..

To cut the long story short, after the fireworks, we tar pau'd the best nasi lemak we have ever ate, in bangsar, highly recommended by leen of course. Hey leen ar, Sorry i had to go back home and made you eat nasi lemak alone, i wanted to enjoy the grub with you, very much, but yea.. Didn't want to intrude at that time of the night. Sorry yea.. i wanted to, Really.. =( Sigh.. But... All in all i had the best time i had in a long time and being in the 'jam-packed' dataran merdeka for the first time on 31st August was great, and the bonus was to be there with you... =) hehe.. POIPLE fireworks! It was just surreal.. =)

.......

There's just one word to sum up my whole weekend. PATHETIC. Don't even want to talk about it so... NEXT...

Last night after a long long loooooong day at church, joel, his dad, and I went to uncle eng leong's house to watch the chelsea-arsenal match. I have NOTHING to say about the match. No comments. Even kane & oliver said that it was supposed to be a draw! Drogba's goal was a TOTAL fluke! He 'accidentally'' hit the ball with his knee past senderos and lehmann. Even Man Utd supporters like kane said that the match was supposed to be a draw and the goal was a total fluke. I mean even joel himself said that it was a fluke.

Argh, nvm.. this is just the start of the EPL season. On the other hand, it was chelsea's new signing, Mickael Essien's Debut on the pitch yesterday after an overpriced £24.4million transfer from lyon. Even an unknown player like Essien is worth more than twice the price of Michael Owen? Roman Abramovich have nothing else to do with his money. What's wrong with the world this days man?! lol

Bewitched..

Finally! I was able to watch Bewitched! Pretty good movie but i think it's a lil' too short.. an hour and a half. Went to 1utama to watch it with ai leen at 9.45pm... Movie ended bout 11 something pm and then we took a long drive to KL and yea.... I got back quite late after sending her back... Hehe i did some cruel stuff and she threatened to write it up on her blog *bluek*.. hehe ok ok. In all really, i had a great time with you ai leen, it was great, and i hope you had a great time with me (hope you're reading this) =) *smiles*

On the other hand, here's an interview with Bono, from U2, one of the very few stars that i truly look up too and a rock icon that is very generous in helping the underpriviledged and i truly respect him. Bono is one of the few christian lads that 'made it big' in the music industry, whilst keeping his faith and christian values up to par, and it is personified in the music that he writes and perform. I am truly encouraged by this interview.. Bono: Grace over Karma

Victim of man's wrath.. Jeremy

WARNING: Explicit Photos, View with discernment. Parental Guidance Suggested. Kidding... Anyway, there are photos way WORST than the ones i posted (for the sake of censorship), go figure.

Well, our dear pal that we grew up with, Jeremy is leaving on the 25th of this month for Michigan, USA. Aaron & I thought that it would be good to do something for him.. a surprise.. a REALLY unsuspecting one for him. So well, I tried to gather most of his close pals, whilst trying to make the party a small one & more personal for him.. To spend time with his close buddies.

So the day came (last thursday). Ollie & Me had to take him out and tell him a few white lies like, "The rest of the guys will go out with you soon, coz they are busy and tied up" and etc. So it was still hazy then, but we still insisted that we go for Steamboat at Manjalara after we're done with the movie. Movie ended at 5 something and i somehow had to find a way to kill 2 hours because the party was only then at 7.30pm.. Sigh that was hard. So after that 2 hours, when everyone was ready they called me. And that's when everything we planned for the night started, and so we headed to my car for manjalara (which actually the dinner is at Italiannis in 1 utama itself), so we got into the car and i went like "Eh, actually i don't feel like eating steamboat, let's have pasta".. lol He got a bit frustrated and annoyed.. lol .. I mislead him to ease any suspicion of the suprise farewell thingie (and it did work out very well, he never suspected anything after all).

So we went to Italiannis and everything went well as planned.. Could see people like joel & seken voraciously consuming all the pasta and pizza's & left everyone starving.. kidding. Siu May had a brilliant idea and got a pack of Face Paint with assorted colors. So yea, you can see the aftermath in the photos above. The rule was that he is NOT allowed wash the paint of his face till he gets home. It was fun when everyone started treating his face like a piece of canvas. A new art piece called the 'Mona KohPunk Lisa' by DaVinci.. i mean.. Us. Plus making lots and lots of noise in a fine dining restaurant!

After the party we went to dreamworld and later made jeremy fit into a bare back dress (because it couldn't be zipped up).. but think of it.. Jeremy.. In a dress?! You gotta be kidding me.II'm willing to pay big bucks to see his in a dress and with paint all over his face. We all had out little photo sessions with him in that awful blue dress.. Was kinda kinky.. If you look at the photos above, notice the proximity we're all having from jeremy when walking around the complex.. lol. Just don't want to be seen with this guy who has face paint all over his face and hands with the weirdest inscribings on it, with everyone staring and talking/whispering bout him. Anyway, we later went and play pool and foosball and got called it a night at about 12 midnight. Hopefully this is a night that jeremy will not forget, that his friends care & love him (in a good way of course). We'll miss you when you go to the states, pal... Remember us when you're on MTV =) Love you lots!

Haze... HAZE!

Isn't it a lil' 'Oxymoron-ic' to see the security guard i see, smoking everyday, and today was wearing a mask to avoid the haze 'destroying/contaminating his lungs'?! How foolish can people be this days?! lol. He should be schooled to learn that the nicotine he inhale and exhale from his cigarette is deadlier than just the mere haze he's breathing in.

On another 'pleasant' note, the cause of the haze is always Indonesia (cyberjaya wasn't big). What's the point of them burning their forests down and sending diplomatic apologies to us all the time, when they repeat it again, and again, and AGAIN.. It's like a dog eating it's own faeces again & again. Pathetic. There's no reason for Malaysia to compensate for Indonesia's incompetence by resulting to cheap solutions to clearing land by burning it, just because they lack national resources? They're worry, they don't work for it. You reap what you sow. Sorry for being critical on this matter, but u know why im upset about it.. Because it's affecting my health, my family's, and the other Malaysians. Inconsiderate is the word for Indo.

Argh, i better stop now, i'm getting more agitated..

Get REAL

This somewhat will NEVER be me, becoz there was never a need for me to dream of playing an air guitar whilst imagining i'm a rock star. Heck I don't know why people do it and I just don’t understand.. i heard they even have competitions in the states for the best AIR GUITARIST.. lol.. I can't even make up a modicum of excitement playing an air guitar, don't know why people get their lil’ thrills out of it.. (i do know some). So don't you dare make fun of me.. And for the record, i never ‘played’ or even ‘TRY’ to play an air guitar before. EMBARRASSING is the word. I offer sympathy for those who gets thrilled playing an air guitar... sorry i mean, FANTASIZING they're playing a real one. Get real. Anyway, here's a cool photo…

Still NOT over Bo... NOT over...

Still feeling the effects of Bo Bice not making it to be THE American Idol, after a few months. Anyhoos, Carrie Underwood's victory as the latest american idol has simply just cemented what the rest of the world has always known:

Americans constantly screw things up by voting for the wrong person

As someone i know so eloquently put it, "Carrie Underwood won the way George W. Bush did: by getting dumb Southeners to vote for them." Well i guess it is apt that it is said so. Yawn, aren't we getting enough from the americans already? =) WARNING: Jeremy, DON'T screw your life up by being an american later.

FA Community Shield

I am OFFICIALLY depressed. Sigh, Arsenal lost to Chelsea 2-1 in the FA Community Shield a few minutes ago. Anyway, look at the brightside, it was a good game and there's no bad blood between arsenal & chelsea... unlike man utd.. if u know what i mean *grins*

This coming season will be a fresh start for the premier league which kicks off this coming friday.. we can expect the likes of the new korean signing from man utd.. (if he's any good).. Well i guess glazer bought him just for business sake, when he plays, all korea will go crazy.. and up goes his business.. what an idiot. He's spoiling the thing we enjoy, called 'SOCCER'.

Anyway, looking forward for a fresh season in the EPL, and also the Champions league.

All i Adore..

Well this week was particularly a rough one.. had to pull through it no matter what. Today after watching the movie screening in youth i was reminded that Jesus' grace is sufficient for me no matter what happens or how heavy my burden is.. =) Recently I borrowed a few cds from a fren and i took some titles that i wasn't interested in.. like the Parachute Band (btw i saw them performing live at hillsongs conference last year.. lol).. but i just wanted to check it out.. =) Nonchalantly i dragged myself to listen to it, and heard the 3rd track titled 'All My Life'.. this was one of the songs that really jumped out on me.. the lyrics are a constant reminder to me always that He is the one who free's me and will continue to be, my reason, my saviour & most importantly one who COMPLETEs me.. in good times, or the bad (like this week.. sigh) .

I had a bad verbal argument (no vulgar language lar, more like Sarcastic).. with someone that i keep very very close to my heart.. which added more pressure on my already bad week... i don't know whether it is settled between us but i feel so bad ='( Well, what can i say.. Jesus is my constant reminder of me relying more on Him.. even though i feel this way now.. Well, at least today wasn't quite a bad day.. =) Gtg now, need to sleep early, playing in dp tomorrow, plus having some rehearsals in the afternoon for some event la.. lol.. =)

Look to Him..

Void?! Concert Redefined

Concert was great last saturday, and we owe all glory & honour to Jesus Himself. Our prayers did paid off well when we asked God for 50 first time new believer to give their to God! Praise Jesus' name! We also thank God for the 1085 people that came for the concert, some came by invitation when we went for our roadshows at their school, some parents, alot from other churches and of course people from our own church.

Well, for me i had fun playing the guitar, praising & worshipping along.. the band was great! So was the singers and youth choir. =) We had a rocking time..

Last but not least.. Thank GOD i had my 3rd break for the year! The following day i had the 'priviledge' to wake up late and go to church like any normal human being.. feeeling soooooo relaxed after a long long time without a break.. Playing every sunday is a priviledge, haha, but i do need a break sometimes to just chill out, and this is only the 3rd time this year!. And it was great! Plus it happened the day after youth concert! Even better, no need to wake up feeling so darn tired! Ok off now, back to da vinci dode... i'm hooked to it... lol
